I believe it to be true that every person is doing the best with what they have. We cannot control everything or everyone in our lives, although we wish we could. When we understand what is in our control, it frees us from feeling trapped or stuck. Perhaps the most empowering belief we can adopt is that how we view the world is in our control. Once this view is accepted, an entire galaxy of opportunities arises. It frees us from the belief that we are stuck in situations in which we are not thriving, and permits us to take responsibility for decisions that can move us towards our full potential.
